Presentation of the ECO-PROWINE project at "ENOFORUM 2013" in Arezzo, Italy

The ECO-PROWINE project has been presented at 8th edition of the technical and scientific congress "ENOFORUM 2013” which was held in Arezzo, from 7th to 9th of May 2013. A special sustainability session called “ECO-PROWINE: a European sustainability label tailored on medium and small estates”, was devoted to the presentation of the main objectives, the scope and main outputs of the project. Gianni Trioli, President of Vinidea srl and Chairman of the session, introduced the session talking about the scope of the project and the objectives of the session. Next, the following shareholdings took place during the session:

• ECO-PROWINE Project Presentation: means and objectives - David Zambrana, Maria Dolores Mainar, Alfonso Aranda. CIRCE, University of Zaragoza
• State of the art of wine processes in terms of sustainability and potentials to be improved - Francisco Ferreira Monteiro, IPVE, Porto
• Wine Labels and certifications of sustainability: a European framework - Chiara Corbo, Instituto di Chimica Agraria e Ambientale, Università Cattolica S.C. (UCSC), Piacenza
• Environmentally sustainable vineyard and winery practices - Alison Bonnet, International consultant, Paris 

At the end of the session there was a round of questions from the participants and they were invited to participate both in the activities of the project and the selection of the first 105 pilot wineries who will apply to obtain the EU sustainability label.
